St. Petersburg-based developers Backstreets Capital and Canopy Builders have commenced construction on Canopy Oaks, a new residential community located at 1920 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North in the Euclid St. Paul neighborhood. The development will feature nine residences, including six luxury townhomes, two villas, and a single-family home, all designed to complement the neighborhood’s charm and aesthetics. The project is expected to be completed by late 2023.
Project Highlights
- Townhomes: Each of the six townhomes will be approximately 2,500 square feet, offering three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, two-car attached garages, covered entries, and private balconies. Interior features include 10-foot ceilings on the main living level, engineered hardwood flooring, and high-end finishes and appliances. The first townhome was listed for $959,035.
- Villas: The two villas will each be around 2,200 square feet, comprising three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, two-story layouts, two-car garages, and private covered lanais with optional outdoor kitchen upgrades. They will also feature 10-foot ceilings on the main living level, hurricane impact windows and doors, engineered hardwood flooring, and premium finishes and appliances.
- Single-Family Home: This residence will include four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study, and an upstairs loft, designed in a Craftsman style to align with the Euclid St. Paul neighborhood’s legacy.
